Rolls-Royce has unveiled it’s concept for its Next Vision vehicle codenamed as 103EX which is a self-driving car features with a silk sofa and powered with its own artificial intelligence virtual assistant named Eleanor.
The supposed to be the ‘future of luxury’ automobile was unveiled in an event in London, and gained mixed responses with its unique design. As to Washington Post article, someone called the car ‘butt-ugly’ while another review called it ‘sublimely crazy’ idea.
The luxury visioned car will actually be launched in the market somewhere around 2040’s and the company has not yet revealed exactly how it is powered, even though it claimed of zero-emissions from its new concept vehicle.
The car has quite intriguing design of 28-inch tall, narrow wheels upon the car glides are each hand-built from 65 individual pieces of aluminum, a luggage compartment next to the front wheels and it opens and closes automatically at the start and end of a journey.
It has no steering wheels and seats are replaced with giant silk sofa. Its cabin has a finest ivory wool carpet woven especially in London which the passengers can enjoy as they luxuriate in space created by the removal of the chauffeur.
Chauffeur replaced by ‘Eleanor’ who is powered by her own artificial intelligence. According to the press statement, the AI-powered virtual assistant will work intuitively to advise her owners on plan trips, schedules, options before they leave, reminds them about appointments and tasks and making suggestions to ease obstructions.
The self-driving car is around 5.9 meters long (about 19 feet) and 1.6 metres high (5.2 feet) having a transparent glass as its roof; a glass canopy as Rolls-Royce calls it.
