TELECOM giant PLDT and its mobile subsidiary, Smart Communications, have officially launched their new logos, which are shaped like a triangle with three sides that represents company’s business pillars — exceptional people, meaningful innovations and its valuable customers.
It stated that the new logo comes with its recent change from the name of the firm from “Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company” into “PLDT Inc.”
PLDT aims to transform its networks into the country’s most data capable infrastructure to deliver a growing array of compelling digital devices.
With its various subsidiaries, which is the Voyager Innovation, Talas Data Intelligence are also offering and developing digital ang financial technology services for customer’s higher levels of efficiencies and convenience.
The group has allocated P43 billion for capital expenditures this year where as around US$100 million in capex will be earmarked, following the acquisition of San Miguel Corporation’s telecom business referred to as the 700Mhz frequency band.
The triangle shape in their logos stands for “Change” and symbolizes the powerful combination of PLDT and Smart in terms of combining fixed wireless technologies to serve individual and enterprise customers.
“Rather than allow ourselves to be disrupted by new technologies, we are disrupting ourselves. We have embarked on a digital pivot to enable us to serve the increasing needs of our people’s digital lifestyle and the country’s growing digital economy,” said PLDT and Smart Chairman and CEO of Manuel Pangilinan.
