Philippine President-elect Rodrigo Duterte’s head raised bet on a bounty of over $1,000,000 by top Drug lords.
Duterte, 71, who won a promising results over his opponents in the presidential election last month, has publicly granted that his crime busting campaign would be “a bloody war,” and offered a reward of 5 million pesos ($108,000) for a drug lord “if he is dead…” added that, “If he is alive, only 4.999 million,” laughing in front of cheering crowds.
Meanwhile, Chief Superintendent Ronald dela Rosa, who is the personal choice of President Duterte, said that he will go after individuals involved in drugs, even if they are governors or mayors. “We will treat them like ordinary criminals because they have committed a crime… I do not care if he is a mayor, or was reelected because of drug money, I don’t care. There will be no special treatment here…” as stressed by the soon-to-be PNP chief.
They’ve also received a tip-off from a very confidential source saying that raising the reward from 10 million pesos to 50 million pesos (($216,000 – $1,083,845) was the focus of meetings of drug lords at the National Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa, Philippines who are currently behind bars.
Dela Rosa also challenged the drug lords to get the President and him to “bring it on!, bring it on!” expressed that Duterte’s administration are very serious to toughen law enforcement laws and to carry out measures to finish the drug lords, criminal groups, including individuals covering and protecting them.
