Fourth of July is where Americans honor the country’s independence by celebrating freedom with fireworks, barbecues, and beach getaways.
Since 1941, July 4 has only been a federal holiday for Americans but have celebrated Independence Day since the 18th century.
It has been predicted that $6.8 billion amount of money to be spent celebrating the July 4 holiday this year, according to the National Retail Federation. An average of $71.34 amount of money are expected to spent on food per household.
According to Wallethub, about 15,000 were the numbers of fireworks displays will be held to celebrate July 4 each year.
Macy’s has been putting on their fireworks display in New York City for 40 years. This year the viewers will see fireworks from nine countries including the United States and it will change colors 17 times.
This will be the largest display since July 2000 as it will have 56,000 pyrotechnic effects to be used.About 50 pyrotechnicians will work on the show with its shells weighing as much as 35 lbs will be launched.
There will be 43 million estimated number of Americans will be traveling this holiday weekend, while most of them spend driving, with a $2.29 average price for a gallon of regular gas according to AAA.
