The Skytrax World Airline Awards ceremony held at the Farnborough International Airshow in England, awarded the international airline Emirates, based in Dubai, as the world’s best airline for 2016.
Based on the survey conducted by Skytrax, millions of airline passengers voted for Middle East airlines since the consistency of its quality services among the world’s top carriers continues to dominate.
The awards run the scope from more than 70 categories from best economy class onboard, catering to best airline staff, to best seats, to best cabin cleanliness.
The Emirates Airline was very honored by the recognition given by the prestigious Skytrax. Sir Tim Clark, Emirates President said, “We always put our customers at the heart of what we do, and we work hard to deliver the very best experience possible at every touchpoint, every day, all around the world.”
The Dubai carrier also bestowed the best airline in the Middle East, and won the world’s best inflight entertainment award for the record of 12 consecutive years.
The Emirates has received four top plums since the introduction of Skytrax airline awards 15 years ago; the carrier won in 2001, 2002, and 2013.
Skytrax World Airline Awards are the global benchmark of airline excellence and popular rave reviews for the world airline industry.
