It is a wide spread belief that our eyes is the window to our soul. As the sense of sight, it is very much useful in our day to day living, and so, caring for it, is as important as caring our health in general.
In taking care of our eyes, especially protecting it to sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays, wearing sunglasses is recommended, also appropriate safety eyewear glasses for our computer screen to avoid too much radiation.
In addition, whenever physical activities in beaches or exploring the seas, the use of protective goggles and eye masks will help. On the other hand, the use of helmets whenever driving or riding a motorcycle is truly a prerequisite.
Eating a well balanced diet that is rich in omega 3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, vitamins A, C & E, that can be found in green leafies, salmon, tuna, eggs, nuts, beans, oranges and other citrus fruits, cannot only maintain a healthy weight but also a healthy eyes.
Seeing an eye doctor (optometrist or ophthalmologist) once a year for eye check-up is a good practice. Resting the eyes by 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds is an eye resting exercise for eye protection.
Such then, when we carry out those mentioned above, and most importantly when we totally quit smoking and drinking alcohol, our eyes will totally enticing, charm, and alluring!
